Bi-juralism and Harmonization Study Papers

Following the adoption of the Civil Code of Quebec in 1994, the federal government decided to ensure that the language and concepts of federal law could be used as validly in Quebec as in common-law jurisdictions. Statutory amendments were made over time. A collection of study papers relating to this effort were made available to the Civil Law Section in 2001. They are available on Justice Canada's Website.
